COMPATIBILITY:
The orbis™ is designed to work with standard-design SLR hotshoe flashes with a head that can be tilted back to vertical. The orbis™ therefore works well with most flash guns / strobes straight out of the box, with no need for any extra parts or conversion add-ons. The orbis™ has been tested and works with the following flash guns / strobes:
* Canon 300TL, 420EX, 430EX, 540EZ, 550EX, 580EX I and II
* Nikon SB28, SB600, SB800, SB900
* Cosmos 360
* LumoPro LP120
* Metz 48 and Metz 58
* Minolta 5200
* Olympus FL36R and FL50
* Pentax AF360 and AF540
* Sigma 500
* Sony F56 and HVL58
* Sunpak PF30X and 5000
* Vivitar 283
If your flash/strobe is similar in size and shape to these, it will almost definitely be compatible with the orbis™. If you're not sure, email us and we can tell you!
The only 'common' flash guns / strobes that we know of that are slightly too large to fit the orbis™ are:
* Cactus KF36
* Metz 45
* Vivitar 285 and the Vivitar 285HV
The following flash guns / strobes cannot be tilted back to vertical so are not compatible:
* Canon 220EX
* Nikon SB400
* Metz "Hammerhead" series (Metz 60, 76 etc)
